  1. Collections and Deliveries

2.1    Collections and deliveries are made on working days only (Monday to Friday) between 9am – 17.30pm unless by prior arrangement.

2.2    Bank holidays within the UK and Europe are not classed as working days

2.3    You must be available at the agreed address on the specified collection/delivery dates. If the driver    arrives and there is nobody there and we need to arrange to go back another day then a charge will be applied before the second attempt can be made. These charges vary depending on the geographical location and    quantity of pallets.

2.4      Refunds are not available for late collections. If you have paid a surcharge for a timed delivery and this is missed by more than 1 hour then you are entitled to a refund of the timed surcharge and not the whole delivery cost.

2.5      A cancellation fee is applicable of £15 + VAT if you give less than 24 hours’ notice to cancel an order.

2.6      All collections and deliveries are made curb side. The drivers are under no circumstances allowed to enter a property, or expected to carry your items up/down stairs.

2.7      Tail lifts are only available for pallets less than 2m x 1m in dimension and under 700Kgs in weight. Anything outside these parameters is the customers’ responsibility to load/unload by forklift.

  1. Liability and Damages

4.1      All consignments are covered by our standard £5 per KG insurance, and you do have the option to increase this liability to £10 per KG or £25 per KG. You must make sure you choose the correct level of cover for your goods, as Transpallets Limited will not be held liable for goods that are underinsured.

4.2      In the unlikely event that you need to make a claim, you will be required to provide us with a cost price invoice, proof of weight and photos of the damages.

4.3      Claims will be rejected unless the damage was noted at time of delivery note

4.4      The insurance cover only covers for the damaged items up to the value of their cost price. Anything else such as labour, freight and missed days of work is classed as consequential loss and is not covered.

4.5      Undeclared freight- If the pallet is found to be larger or heavier than the size you paid for then the insurance will be null and void.

4.6      It is the sender’s responsibility to make sure the recipient adheres to these conditions also.

4.7        The following situations are not covered:

  • Force majeure
  • Acts of God
  • Consequences of war
  • inadequate packaging
  1. Customs and Surcharges

5.1      It is the customer’s responsibility to check with the relevant authorities whether any duties or taxes are applied and to ensure that they are paid prior to the collection of the consignment.

5.2      Transpallets are not accountable for any delays as a result of undeclared freight or unpaid customs fees.

5.3      You must ensure that you correctly declare the dimensions and weight for your    pallet(s) as otherwise this can result in delays with your delivery. If your pallet is found to be larger or heavier than was originally paid for, then you are liable for the additional charges before delivery can be made. These charges will be based on the correct amount of space the pallet takes up.
